HURRAH...

...We finished 'Vikings Tales' today!

My son insisted, begged actually, that I read the last two chapters, and we did.

High fives were going every where.

Reading out loud on really hot days is
soooooooo fun!

That's terrible grammar, I know,

but I have just finished a 55 min workout,

and that has nothing to do with Vikings Tales.

So now I am off to make a flat white and start thinking about

picking some fresh silver beet from our garden and

cook spinach pie for tea.

Then make more raspberry jam from the

raspberries I am going to pick later.

Maybe I can pretend I am going to Wineland

like Lief
where the soil is black,

the wild red grapes are vast

and the fish are plenty.

Or maybe not!

I need that coffee
:)

  1. I forget that you are in a different time zone- different hemisphere even!- thought you were up way early reading, exercising and making stuff.
    Have a good day :)

  2. Looks like a good book! Being Norwegian American, my grandpa came from Norway, I love that heritage. There is a Leif Ericson park in Duluth, MN because there are some people in North America who know he was here WAY before Columbus!

    Happy New Year!

  3. Ive been making jam, trying to do it early in the morning before it gets hot. Made a mixed berry one just after Christmas. Isn't it great when children love being read to and sad once they grow up and move past that.

Have a lovely day and don't melt. I think you are a little hotter than us today , we are heading for 35C.
