There is no place like home

We are delighted to be home!

This scene in 'The Wizard of Oz'

just says it all.

We have come home to an incredible garden that

is just blooming and blossoming.

Our vegetable garden has grown amazingly fast

with all this beautiful rain and warmth.

The basil leaves are large and green, just like I like it and
the raspberries my friends are red and big and delicious!

As soon as I finish this post I am off to pick some fresh lettuce, spinach and basil for our lunch.

So it's the festive season and I love it. I'm in the spirit of
Christmas  and we are all looking forward to cutting down a fresh pine branch and decorating our tree and home with the sights of the season.

Soon our home will be filled with the wonderful scents of Christmas cooking...YUM!

I'm looking forward to catching up on some blog reading and
discovering what is going on in your home.

'Tis the season to be Jolly'

  2. Isn't it amazing to come home to a blossoming garden instead of a dead one like many people have over the past years? Holidays to fun and exotic places are exciting, but home... there really is no place like it!

  4. The mention of your salad made me just a tad bit jealous. I grew basil for the first time this year and quickly learned to love adding it to a salad. We get so little sunshine here gardening is a challenge, so I am still trying to figure out what I can get to grow. We will start our Christmas decorating when our Thanksgiving guests leave. We are excited for Christmas!

  7. Your Christmas preparations sound lovely! It must be amazing to have your garden growing during this holiday season. ..We live in the north, so our garden is long gone for this year. ;)
