Orange Blossom...

...is one of my favourite things.

I'm just sitting here and Orange Blossom just popped into my head, don't ask me why, I just love the sound of these two words together. I think it would make a beaut blog name or brand name for children's clothing or a lovely boutique shop with all things beautiful.

On my 2nd wedding anniversary, my delovely husband surprised me with Orange Blossom perfume that arrived in the mail. Till this day it remains one of my most memorable moments.

Orange blossom is my favourite perfume and I just love the smell of orange blossoms from real orange trees.

Isn't this an exciting post? :-)

Over the last 3 weeks since losing our baby I have done A LOT of sitting and thinking and sitting and thinking! But most of all I have been knitting. WOW, it has been so therapeutic to keep my fingers moving while I have been sitting and thinking.

I have nearly finished my sons scarf which he loves and I have started a gorgeous vest for my daughter.

The sun is shining delightfully today and warming our apartment. I think I appreciate the sun a lot more during winter than I do during summer. After days of cold wintry weather, the sun not only warms your face but your heart.

How is your day today?

Sitting and thinking is very therapeutic to me:) I am a classic introvert and this recharges me....glad to hear you've had the time to do some sitting and thinking .....you have been in my thoughts and prayers often over the past few weeks.

  4. Dear sweet Sarah,
What a lovely post. I too delight in the smell of orange blossoms. There is something so refreshing and clean about citrus fruits.
My DD has a Strawberry Shortcake doll collection....one of her friends is named orange blossom.
As a girl I remember seeing orange trees on my way to school....I loved picking at the leaves and sucking on them. I also love and appreciate the sun in the cold winter days....God is faithful!
Show us a picture of your lovely hand made things.
    (((hugs)))

  5. I loved this post...sometimes the ramblings of memories are the best topics! I too have a perfume that when I smell it, it's like a time machine that takes me back to the first time I smelled it. Ahh, memories!

You're experiencing winter now, and I'm finally getting out in my yard! It seems so strange to me and yet so neat. I am weeding my flower garden and taking in all the sweet smells of summer! Today is a good day for us here in Nebraska! Thank you for asking!

  6. Orange blossom has a very 'fresh' ring to it (as a name), and I can imagine the smell is even more so... I love all things citrus-y :)

  7. Murraya also has a very similar scent to orange blossom. We have it planted all around our house, and after several rains it bursts into bloom!

Just lovely -- thank you, God!

  8. The other day I was putting stuff in the attic and I found the tin where I store the momentos from the baby I lost to miscarriage about four years ago. I fingered through the items and wept. Not in anger, not against the Lord, just a good, healing cry. I don't let myself dwell on the pain, but I do allow myself to express it. If the Lord is storing our tears in a bottle, then they must be precious to Him. Praying for you, dear sister. May your heart and body continue to heal.

  9. Praying for your thinking/praying/healing time before and with the Lord. So sorry about your loss, may He hold you ever so closely while you mourn.
