Well it's back to our normal homeschooling schedule today, what ever normal is, sometimes we follow routine, other times I go with the flow, if you know what I mean!
For the first week of holidays my children spent the week at their cousins place and my beloved and I had such a tremendous time together. It was like the times before we had children, we were like BIG children mucking around, we talked A LOT, we laughed, we dreamed again of our desires.
We fell in love again! Not that we stopped loving each other, I just think the romantic side gets squished a lot just because of the pressures of parenting, providing and all the other things that build up in our lanes of life.
All we did was throw some kindle on the love that is deep inside and it didn't take long before the kindle turned into a flame and the love river was unplugged and it was just wonderful.
It's so important to do everything you can to get that time with your spouse, and I am so eternally grateful to my cousins for willingly taking my children for that time, I love them so much.
So back to schooling, I am looking forward to this last term as we near Christmas. I take one day at a time and I know God's Grace and Mercy are new every morning and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I am so thankful for my children, they keep me real!
Oh, Sarah, I love hearing this! I relate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pic you have at the heading.

Hello Sarah! I can relate to this post too. Hubby and I are beginning to plan regular date nights again, and maybe a couple of overnight getaways as well! We are both pretty laid back and have let things slide a little lately. Time to get back on track! Hope you have a great week back home schooling. Mel xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post! Glad to hear of your rejuvenating time! I love the picture on your header! I've been out of blogland for a while (except for one post last week!) and am having fun getting caught up on my reading. (Meanwhile, my blog disappeared...so as for keeping up my posting...I don't know when that will happen - but I have a bit of time for reading anyhow!)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great day! with your beautiful children!
