Monday morning blues...

...ummm,

hold up,

did I say Monday morning blues, well it's actually called 'daylight savings' blues!

What is in the air when we turn our clocks forward, seriously I have 2 chains attached to my feet and a sack of potatoes over my shoulder!

Even though I went to bed at 9:30 last night and slept all night, I still feel an hour behind. Now is this just a mental thing, like your brain actually knows it's really 8am and won't let you start your routine?

Daylight savings really does have a major effect on our daily routines and somehow I feel schooling today is going to be just a little bit slow and I also have two apartments to clean and a shopping list for my new 21 day wonder diet...I'll tell you about that later!

So tell me, how are you feeling this morning...

  1. Oh I know that feeling! Thank goodness that Western Australia voted NO to daylight saving this year! It is hot enough and the days are long enough without it!

  6. Hello Sarah,
Thank you for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment. We do not change our clocks for another month, but I will be in the same boat as you are right now. I always drag a little when the time changes. This is new for us in Indiana, as we just voted a couple years ago to change our clocks. I've gone most of my life without DST, so it is still hard to get used to. I have enjoyed reading your blog and will be back often.

  9. Hi Sarah,
I absolutely detest daylight saving. It doesn't save any daylight out here! Farmers are up at 5am, so they have to have lights on for an extra hour in the morning - just plain dumb!

My daughter has extreme difficulty getting to sleep during daylight saving, too, as she goes to bed at 7:30.

    Have a wonderful week.
    Blessings,
    Jillian

  10. We're enjoying daylight saving now we are in the swing of it. Having light at the end of the day is SO nice...

Thanks for your comments on my blog back in August. I'm glad my "picks" were helpful. You've got a busy and well set out blog here - I'm in awe... I just don't devote enough time to mine.

    Blessings
    Jocelyn
