Roast lamb marinate!

My husband had a cheff cook a roast lamb one evening when he was away and David phoned him a couple of nights ago to ask for the marinate recipe.

This is the one I used for our roast lamb on Australia Day.

6-8 anchovies
2 garlic cloves
Two 30cm stalks of rosemary
60ml Olive oil

Blend all the ingredients together and put aside

Juice 2 lemons in a bowl, sprinkle salt and pepper and mix;
Puncher small holes all through the lamb and brush the
lemon mixture all over the lamb.

Next place the anchovy mixture in all the holes,
then cover and place in fridge over night.

So simple but so kind of foods!

Enjoy and please do tell us if you use this recipe :-)

  1. Hey! Thank you for that! Might have to surprise my Mr. Wonderful some night with that dish! I'm on a kick now where I'm really trying to break out of cooking ruts and try new recipes. Hope I don't botch it!

  2. Hi Sarah,
Is this just for the family or for your guests, too? If you're doing it for the guests, they are just too spoilt.

    Thank you for sharing. :D

    Have a great week,

  3. This was so delicious Sarah. I will definitely be trying this marinade on my next lamb roast. I highly recommended this to all.

I appreciate all you have done for me while staying in your home. It's great to see that your family loves food and enjoying the variety that food has to offer just as I do.

Looking forward to doing life with you, your buddy blogger Bronny.

  4. Yum! Sounds great! I'll let you know when we try it...

  5. Yea, does sound great, will let you know too when we try it....

  6. A chef gave away his recipe. That's impressive. Sounds delicious.
