Hello blogging pals...
One thing I love about Victoria is the change of seasons, even in the winter when we battle the symptoms that can creep up on you.
Seasons change in our lives and I like that, I actually really like change.
Today I am writing to you from a two bedroom apartment in Geelong, where we are abiding with my parents for the next two weeks and then we move into our own apartment, which God has provided once again in such an incredible way. We are in this town where I was born for a good 3 months, due to my husband being blessed with shift work at Shell oil refinery.
I love Geelong and the region. It's the place where I grew up, where the Lord rescued me and where my home church is. I love seeing my good old friends and driving around with everything feeling familiar, it's nice for a little while.
I've just enjoyed the last week spending time with my niece Carissa and her gorgeous little 6 month boy Levi and my other niece Sophie. They've gone now and I miss them, a lot!
We all hang out for church on Sunday morning and my kids just absolutely love kids church, and I love that! They make friends so fast and I am proud of that. I love my children.
This coming week I am going for an ultra sound on Monday for I have been losing blood now for 15 days straight, and I guess that is not a good thing, and it has left me feeling very low in energy and quite tired.
For homeschooling this week we are starting "Exploring Creation with Astronomy" by Jeannie Fulbright and I am very excited about it. I just brought two lovely sketch albums for the kids to store there work in.
Also, while I am on the 'change' subject I was in the mood to change my blog...what do you think? I am so into green at the moment and especially the Lime color, I'm loving it!
Lastly I am watching the AFL right now as I write and I believe a change is about to take place for my black & white team Collingwood and that is a great win against St Kilda and leave the Pies on top of the ladder...WOO HOO!
p.s thank you to you ladies who have stopped by to just say you are still thinking and praying for me! I appreciate that so much.
Love you! xxx
Sarah, so lovely to hear from you:) and yes, your blog is definitely evidence of you liking change! I love how you keep changing the look!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are definitely in a new season. We visited Geelong end of last year, a great place!
I will be definitely praying for you dear Sarah for your health.
take it easy,
love
Rosemary
Loving your blog, Dearest. Can't wait to see you.
ReplyDeletePraying for your health.
Hi Sarah! YAY - your back :)
ReplyDeleteOOh, I really love Geelong - especially in the summer. Our best friend comes from there - along with his 11 siblings!!
I'm sorry to hear of your health concerns, I'll be praying that everything is OK. Have you thought of taking an iron supplement to help with your fatigue? I take an oral iron supplement ('Clements' I think) when I'm feeling run down - not very tasty, but OK when mixed with orange juice.
And yes, I love the new green colour on your blog. :)
Enjoy your time in Geelong, sometimes a change is just what we need!
xx
I'm in Geelong tomorrow for about 2 hours for a quick meal and to pick up our cat... will be back down there in a week or so to catch up with some friends - would love to meet you and your kids face to face if you're up for it :o)
ReplyDeletePraying for a quick return to full health for you!!
Great to hear from you Sarah!
ReplyDeleteChanges can be difficult at times, but like you I often like it, especially if it is moving on from some trial.
I do hope all is well for you health wise. Take good care of yourself, won't you. Emotionally and spiritually, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart"♥
I am jealous you are in Geelong. It sounds like a great place which I hope to visit one day in the near future.
Hi Sarah :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are in a gentle season for your soul atm.
I like Geelong too, my mum has a lot of family there and so we have been there many times. Growing up it was one of my fav places to visit.
Luv Donna
