The weekend certainly turned out to be a very interesting one.
On Saturday I ended up vacuuming all the sawdust from the shelves that went in, upstairs.
Know matter where you live across the country, I am sure you all heard about the tennis ball size hail stones that hit Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.
Seriously unbelievable!
It really does make you think ~
"what is going on?"
When Jesus was on earth He certainly warned His followers about the end time signs, the earthquakes, rumors of wars, nation rising against nation.
He urged His followers to be ready, full of oil, not sleeping, but waiting at the door for Jesus' return.
You and I were born for such a time as this.
We could be the generation that are here on earth when Jesus returns.
I don't know about you, but I have a deep urgency to draw closer to my Jesus, to be ever ready, and full of His Holy Spirit.
I am not satisfied with where I am at.
I am hungry for His presence, for His glory to be in my life.
Why?
Not for my own sake, but to walk in His anointing,
to impact the lost around me.
Oh, how our communities need Jesus.
I am praying this week, for a more merciful heart towards the lost,
to be ready to share the gospel and my testimony.
Actually I am believing for opportunities to share my faith and for hearts to be receptive.
More of Him and less of me!
He must increase, I must decrease...
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Sarah. Whatever is going on, God is in control!
Amen, Amen, Amen!
ReplyDeleteYour prayers for more of Him will surely be answered. That is His desire, too -- more of YOU! :)
I didn't hear about the hail in Australia this weekend, but that does sound strange for summertime.
We're about to jump into to Tornado season here in Texas. With that comes hail, too.
By the way, love your new blog header. Precious little girls.
Hugs,
Lisa
Hi Sarah,
ReplyDeleteLove the new header - it's gorgeous! :D
I have started posting my study notes from church, and I had a comment this morning, from a lady in Japan thanking me for posting my notes, as she has trouble understanding the point of the sermon in her local church, and help her to understand her Bible.
There is such a hunger for God's Word. :D
Have a wonderful week,
Blessings,
Jillian ♥

ReplyDeleteDear Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI was so blessed to read this post. I have been having exactly the same thoughts. Sadly, I don't find many Christians are looking as much at the end times as they used to. I am afraid a lot more people are going to be caught off guard without oil. Yes, we must draw near and be ready. Definitely we need to witness His love to the world.
Blessings to you as you began your week.
Katia
Great words of wisdom there Sarah. And so true. I see all around us with the world getting worse and becoming such a chaotic mess that we are close to the end times. I know all Christians want to be the ones who are here on earth when Jesus returns...but let's hope it's in our lifetime. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your heart.
