Oh My! Books! Oh My!

I have officially fallen in love again!
Thanks to Jeanne we discovered a beautiful 2nd hand book shop which I think has practically every book.

We went to find 'James and the Giant Peach' for my son, who
is now hooked on Roald Dahl...
PRAISE GOD, he is reading!!!

We found the above delicious hard back addition and Joshua
is overjoyed!

My 7yo daughter is loving Dr Seuss at the moment so
she was stoked to walk out with these goodies...

How could I say no to my son begging me for more
Roald Dahl?

I am so pleased to find more Billabong books to add
to my collection and Gracie wanted
an Enid Blyton book!

I am ecstatic to find two impeccable and very
well illustrated study books for my fitness studies.

We are very happy!

So what are you and your children reading?

My 11yo son has just finished 'George's Marvelous Medicine' and has now started 'The Sea Caves' by Colin Thiele

My 7yo daughter is nearly finished 'Pinnochio', she is also
reading 'The Secret Seven' by Enid Blyton,
'Fables' by Arnold Lobel (beautifully illustrated too)
and now she will be into her new Dr. Seuss books.

I'm currently reading
'Anne of Windy Poplars',
next on my list is-
'Anne's House of Dreams'
'Les Miserables'
and 'A Little Bush Maid'

Oh, I'm so pleased it's Friday,
it's such a lovely feeling coming to the end
of the week, knowing you have covered a lot in the last
week and now it's time to take a break
and have a breather!

Love Sarah

  1. We are all reading a hodge podge of books. My oldest and I have this tendency to read two books at one time. Smile!!

Thanks for sharing. Looks like some great reads.

  3. We haven't got into Roald Dahl as yet. Rebekah is reading a bit of twaddle at the moment though I'm trying to alternate it with some good stuff too.
Good second hand bookshops are great aren't they! Have you been to Clunes in Victoria? apparently they have a few good ones there which we'll need to check out next time we're down that way:)

  4. Fantastic! I love love love a good second hand book shop! If you make the drive to Queenscliff, the one there is full of goodies. We love Roald Dahl books, I remember my 5th grade teacher reading aloud Danny the Champion of the World - it changed my world completely! Have fun! Mel x

  5. Hip Hip Horray for you, and your daughter, and most specially for your SON!

We are hooked on Dahl, but I am doing the read aloud of Charlie... that James and the Giant Peach ... I started to listen to the audio and it was bizarre... very Roald Dahl, LOL. I love the new look of your blog, btw. And I am happy you have found a wonderful place for books.

    Hugs,
