Gifts I can't live without

"Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles!
Laud Him, all you peoples!
For His merciful kindness is great toward us,
And the truth of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord!"

~ Psalm 117

As I was laying in bed Christmas evening re living the day in my
mind, I started to thank the Lord for His real gifts, the gift of joy
and peace in my heart.
The world offers humanity a false joy and peace, promising
happiness if we climb the ladder of success, make more money and
fill our homes with stuff.
Laying there I was overwhelmed with God's love again and how
any of the gifts that I received under the tree do not bring any
satisfaction as the peace and joy that Jesus fills my heart with.
Of course I am grateful for the gifts that my loved ones have
brought me, you always feel very special when someone has taken
the time to think of you and buy gifts.
I will never forget where I came from, the hopeless, desperate
and lost place and then just like that evening when the angel
appeared to the humble shepherds declaring great news that a
saviour is being born in the city of David is how Jesus came to me
offering salvation.

Jesus saves, heals and restores.

"Gloria in excelsis Deo"

  1. So true Sarah. I've been feeling so very grateful lately for all that God has blessed me with. So aware that everything else fades to insignificance when compared to the gift of Jesus and gifts of family, health, and friends. Enjoy your boxing day! Love Mel. xx

  4. I look around at my home, my children, my husband and I am filled with joy and thank the Lord for all that He has provided . In fact I feel quite spoilt.

Sarah, I'm like you, I like to make changes to my blog from time to time, it's a little like rearranging the furniture in a room. It makes it feel freh and new!
