Love always Hopes!

This past couple of weeks have been crazy in this beautiful country. Queensland and Victoria have had terrible floods and still ongoing, West Australia have had a terrible bush fire and there was a bushfire just an hour from my home (East Victoria) where people lost there homes and we lost power for only 24 hours.

You cannot help but feel despondent when you focus on all that is happening around us.

As these events have occurred in the natural there are times when we experience floods, storms and fires in our souls. We know that the Lord allows us to go through the fire to refine, equip and prepare us for His mighty kingdom.

A few weeks ago I thought that we would have to sell our B&B and home. For the first time I was not optimistic, I just could not see through the fog. We started this building project in 2005 and we are not into our own home upstairs. Up until last October we were all sleeping side by side in the fourth apartment that we were going to rent out also.

One thing I learnt about myself was my treasures truly are not here on earth but in heaven.

Once again I brought my tears to the alter and laid it all down.

Since then the Lord provided finance and our home upstairs has now been carpeted and the kitchen cork has been laid.

I stand amazed, feeling breathless.

The Lord promises that He will do more than we can ask, think or even hope. He has never let us down.

I don't have all the answers and even though I don't know what will happen tomorrow, next week or next year I trust my God.

The words 'Love always Hopes' keep penetrating my heart.

God is love and as long as I have God I have always got hope.

"We have this hope as an anchor
for the soul, firm and secure.
It enters the inner sanctuary
behind the curtain,"

~ Heb 6:19

  2. So thankful to hear of the Lord's provision for your financial situation. But, I'm even more thankful you were willing to praise Him even before He provided. Still praying for your country.

  3. A very touching testimony, Sarah. I love it when the veil has been lifted from our hearts.

Sometimes it seems futile to even post when I know my friends are going through so much but then I'm reminded that the Holy Spirit has unveiled the wisdom behind this technology at this time for reasons. It is good to know how to specifically pray for someone.

    Much xxx and ooo's

  8. Thanks for sharing Sarah. You've reminded me that sometimes it's not the destination, but the journey that counts....something I need to remember in my own life! :) So happy to hear how God has been faithful to you and yours. x
