Happy...

Happy = delighted, pleased, or glad, as over a
particular thing:
to be happy to see a person.
On Saturday night the 25th of April many joined me to celebrate my 30th and I was so HAPPY! This night was absolutley more than I could of asked and even hoped for. Every where I looked people who I love so much were smiling, laughing, chatting, dancing and enjoying every moment.
Happiness filled the air and everybody was dosed up on it.
Words cannot even describe the happiness I felt within my soul! We had a good mix of music and their was always people dancing around having the time of their lives!
One scripture I love is 'The Joy of the Lord is your Strength'! How awesome to know that no matter what is going on in the world and in your own world the JOY that comes only from God is ever present, and being filled with this JOY gives you the strength to enjoy every single day!
Friday the 1st of May is officially my 30th birthday, and I Praise God that because He lives I can face tomorrow!

In Memory of our Soldiers

We're All Australians Now

Australia takes her pen in hand,

To write a line to you,

To let you fellows understand,

How proud we are of you.

From shearing shed and cattle run,

From Broome to Hobsons Bay,

Each native-born Australian son,

Stands straighter up today.

The man who used to "hump his drum",

On far-out Queensland runs,

Is fighting side by side with

someTasmanian farmer's sons.

The fisher-boys dropped sail and oar

To grimly stand the test,

Along that storm-swept Turkish shore,

With miners from the west.

The old state jealousies of yore

Are dead as Pharaoh's sow,

We're not State children any more

We're all Australians now!

Our six-starred flag that used to fly,

Half-shyly to the breeze,

Unknown where older nations ply

Their trade on foreign seas,

Flies out to meet the morning blue

With Vict'ry at the prow;

For that's the flag the Sydney flew,

The wide seas know it now!

The mettle that a race can show

Is proved with shot and steel,

And now we know what nations know

And feel what nations feel.

The honoured graves beneath the crest

Of Gaba Tepe hill,

May hold our bravest and our best,

But we have brave men still.

With all our petty quarrels done,

Dissensions overthrown,

We have, through what you boys have done,

A history of our own.

Our old world diff'rences are dead,

Like weeds beneath the plough,

For English, Scotch,

and Irish-bred,They're all Australians now!

So now we'll toast the Third Brigade,

That led Australia's van,

For never shall their glory fade

In minds Australian.

Fight on, fight on, unflinchingly,

Till right and justice reign.

Fight on, fight on,

till VictoryShall send you home again.

And with Australia's flag shall fly

A spray of wattle bough,

To symbolise our unity,

We're all Australians now.

Lyra Pencils

My son Joshua never really picked up a pencil until the age of four. He just wasn't interested in coloring in or drawing. Some people were not concerned but I just knew he will start when he is ready. One day as I was researching art products I came across Lyra pencils, this was the first time I had ever seen them. Just the pigments in the color attracted me, so I went ahead and ordered - only cost $30 per pack of 12!!!

The day these beautiful pencils arrived Joshua grabbed hold of them and began to draw with excitement. We have been using this product now for 4 years and both my children draw wonderful pictures everyday.

It's the quality of pencil that inspires a child to create.

Bible Narration - Joshua

Tell in your own words all you remember of Moses' life at the beginning -

Moses went in a basket and went through the leaves and rushes. Then the Princess found him and she said "he's adorable, let's take him home".

Moses' big sister spoke to the princess and said "I know some one who can look after this baby", show us please, because I would like a nurse" said the princess.

Moses saw a man bashing another slave and Moses killed the man and ran away and left everything behind.

The Burning bush narrated

One day Moses saw a burning bush and God spoke out of the burning bush "go back to Egypt and free the Israelites". Once he got them free he led them to the sea, the Egyptians chased them and they were in trouble. Moses put out his stick, the waves went up and made a wall and they walked through on dry land.

The Egyptians came through one by one but never got across because God closed the waters and they all died.

Ben Hur - A Tale of the Christ

Over the Passover weekend my family and I watched this classic movie together! The children were asking questions left, right and centre, they were so captivated by the story line and their eyes were glued to the screen every time Jesus appeared!

This was astonishing to me in how the children's attention span lasted for the length of the movie. My little girl actually went away for awhile for she didn't like all the soldiers!

Even though I have watched Ben Hur quite a few times over the years, it still has a major effect on me. The scene where Judah was sent away and was walking along thirsty, hungry and no spirit to live on. The they arrive to a stop where the soldiers gave water to the animals and some criminals, but not to Judah, he then falls to the ground with nothing left in Him, but he cries out "God Help Me" - then appears the Son of Man so naturally and beautifully, and gives Judah water, but not just any water, this cup never runs out, this cup continually stays full and Judah drank to his heart content.

This is one of my favourite scenes when Judah looks up and sees Jesus, the expression is in his eyes, Jesus gave Judah not only water for the body but water for the soul, gave him the spirit to go on and live, gives me goose bumps every time and a few tears!

This movie is such a well written script with the truth of Jesus Christ and the cross attached to it. It's not the movie that is so powerful but the TRUTH of what took place 2000 years ago and what Jesus did has personally effected my whole life today!

My Hope

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus Name
When all around my world gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay
-Edward Mote, 1834

Remembering the Last Supper....

'Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they 4killed the Passover lamb, His disciples said to Him,

“Where do You want us to go and prepare, that You may eat the Passover?”

13 And He sent out two of His disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. 14 Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?” ’ 15 Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us.”

16 So His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.

Thirty....

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
~ Les Brown ~
Very soon I will be turning 30!

How do I feel about this?

Actually I am very excited! I look back over the last 29 years and have a heart that is full of gratitude, thankfulness and gratefulness! It's funny how as I get older I realise just how much I DON'T know!
Age is an issue of mind over matter.
If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. ~Mark Twain

Reminiscing is something I love to do, thinking about lot's of different and special people that God brought into my life for a purpose to challenge me, encourage me, and inspire me! People are what have enriched my life with their time, laughs, tears, cuddles, kisses, coffee's and every special moment!

When I was a teenager I yearned for the Lord to mould my life and to make something of it! Well I certainly believe He uses people to help in this process as well as every other mountains and valley's we experience.

Thirty.....Thirty....Thirty

This number has a lovely ring to it and how I am looking forward to having a PARTY to celebrate this age!!!
